I know you're busy, but is there a back-story to this? Ripley only lived for 8 years? We can't read the writing in the pic. =/

I'm not 100% sure on the details anymore, but I believe they found a mass in Ripley's stomach. It was all totally unexpected. One test led to another and eventually they learned just how critical & painful things were and would become. And the most humane thing they could do was euthanisia.
