Sabriya first fell in love with science when she was 15 years old and read Richard Peterson’s novel, The Hot Zone, which takes an in-depth look into the origins of the infectious Ebola virus .She received her undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech and has worked on HIV research at the National Institutes of Health and studied tuberculosis at NYU. She is currently pursuing her PhD and studies host-pathogen interactions at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
